Position: Customer service Executive/Senior Executive-Ocean Export
Location: Banani, Dhaka
Office Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Weekly Holidays: Two Days
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with Shippers, Consignees, Shipping Lines, Co-loaders, Transporters, Customs Brokers and Overseas Offices/Agents related to booking.
• Send booking details to customers/agents for approval purposes, including vessel schedules based on cargo handover date and vessel cutoff date.
• Prepare/generate shipping orders and send them to shippers for cargo delivery/handover purposes.
• Follow up with shippers to receive final soft copy documents (BL Draft, CI & PL) on the same day as cargo delivery.
• Communicate with carriers regarding space booking as per buyer-approved vessel schedule and equipment availability for smooth shipment.
• Prepare stuffing/loading plans upon receiving cargo and send them to depot/CFS for cargo stuffing purposes.
• Send shipment advice and B/L drafts to shippers based on carrier advice and stuffing report.
• Send B/L drafts to carriers via EDI so that carriers can issue OBL.
• Consolidate all shipper’s documents, FCR (copy), cargo manifest along with B/L and courier them to assigned destinations as per customer-provided shipping guide.
• Maintain customer-required KPIs and set up reports for delivery.
• Issue local and overseas invoices and collaborate with finance to adjust credit limits based on business development.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Ocean Freight operations role
• Proficient in English communication.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office suite, email, etc.)
